56-Year-Old ID'd As Man Killed In CT Christmas Eve Crash

Authorities have identified the Connecticut man who was killed as he walked along a road on Christmas Eve.

Felix Saquinaula, 56, of Danbury, was walking in the area of Main and Liberty Streets in Danbury when a car crashed into him around 9:15 p.m., authorities said. 

Paramedics rushed him to Danbury Hospital, where he later died of his wounds. 

Danbury police said the driver who hit him remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators. 

According to his obituary, Saquinaula's funeral was held on Monday, Dec. 30, at St. Peter Church in Danbury. 

The crash remains under investigation, and authorities ask anyone with information on the wreck or who may have witnessed it to contact Danbury Sgt. Wakeman or Officer Wolen at 203-797-2157.
